 The title is a Mean Girls reference for those of you who aren’t hip to that. Doesn’t it look like I’m somewhere cool?! Even a little bit? Well, I’m not. Still here, in the burbs. I guess today I ran with the 70s trend that’s going on and tried to dress like I was in a band or something. In a band, chillin by a pond – youknowthedrill. I think the hipstamatic picture at the end there really adds to the authenticity of the look. That’s what this pond looked like in 1971!

I’ve been wearing the rust colored jacket for about two weeks now. I debated between the three colors it comes in for about 20 minutes, to the dismay of my boyfriend who ended up walking out of the store. Ok, so really it was 20 minutes after we’d been there for half an hour. But it was an important decision and one I’m glad I took the time to make because I’m happy with its outcome. As I’ve previously noted, I’m not good with cold weather so purchasing jackets doesn’t come naturally to me. A friend from the East coast once told me, winter on the East coast really isn’t that bad because we dress for it. In California, you all just wear the same things year round and suffer through winter until it’s warm again.
